About SUPA

Syracuse University Project Advance (SUPA) is a premier concurrent enrollment program enabling qualified high school students to enroll in Syracuse University courses right on their own high school campus during their regular school day with university approved and trained instructors.

Syracuse University Courses in Your High School

As one of the nation’s oldest and most respected concurrent enrollment programs, SUPA is the largest program in New York State and partners with over 250 high schools in 8 additional states and 10 countries.

The courses offered at partner high schools are regularly catalogued Syracuse University courses, giving students an early taste of college academics and insight into a variety of college and career pathways.

Under this concurrent enrollment partnership model, high school students register for courses with Syracuse University as non-matriculated/non-degree seeking students and earn both college credit and high school credit in the process.

In addition to earning highly transferable college credits, SUPA students gain valuable college and career readiness skills by engaging with the same curriculum, learning objectives, and assessment practices as students taking these courses on Syracuse University’s main campus.

As part of this partnership program, instructors at the high schools are rigorously trained and then certified to teach these courses for college credit by Syracuse University faculty, who also oversee and develop the curriculum and provide ongoing professional development. Syracuse University faculty also regularly visit and interact with SUPA students and instructors at partner schools.

For motivated students ready for the challenge, early access to college can be truly transformative and life-changing!
