About Alex Haessig
Alex Haessig is the Communications Manager at Project Advance responsible the marketing, public relations, internal communications, social media content creation and website maintenance.
After completing his bachelor’s in Television-Radio from Ithaca College he started to work towards his mater’s in Strategic Communication at SUNY Oswego. After the first year of the graduate program, school went on pause as an opportunity to work at Syracuse University presented itself. In the fall of 2021, he started as a Social Media Specialist with Campus Safety and Emergency Management Services (CSEMS) at Syracuse University. Just over a year after he stepped into the role of Internal Communications and Marketing Manager for CSEMS. In this role he was responsible for crafting and disseminating of mass communications to the Syracuse University campus community (30,000+ recipients) and helped lead the marketing efforts for the Syracuse University safety app, Orange Safe (10,000+ downloads).
Alex joined Project Advance in May of 2024 and is looking forward to help grow and promote the prestigious program. He is always looking to connect and amplify the achievements of our SUPA partners. In his free time, Alex enjoys to travel and golf (weather permitting). He also loves to cheer for the Buffalo Bills and the Syracuse Orange! He lives in Oswego, NY with his girlfriend and their two cats!
