SUPA Faculty Liaison for Introduction to African American Studies, Joan Bryant, has been named a finalist for the 2024 MAAH Stone Book Award. Bryant’s book, Reluctant Race Men: Black Challenges to the Practice of Race in Nineteenth-Century America, is among the 14 finalists out of 118 eligible submissions.
